Another invention from our Japanese friends, Sanyo Gopan is a Rice Bread Maker. All you need to do is feed this machine with Rice Grains and all the other ingredients required for bread making and viola in just 4 hours, you have a loaf of bread to feast upon. It’s just that simple.
You may be thinking rice is not as good as wheat well yes and no, and it depends on the types of rice used. With this machine you could bake brown rice bread loaf or even use high fibre legume ingredients and it does the same. Just set it to wheat-free setting and let the machine do the rest. Once it’s done, you’d have high fibre dietry bread loaf that can be eaten daily without having the fear of putting on weight.
Why it takes approximately 4 hours? Well, the machine actually soaks the grains in water before milling it into paste. When the paste is ready the machine then kneads the ingredient together to form a dough just like any other bread-maker would do. Then, followed by proper rising of the bread and baking.
For now the machine is only available in Japan and yes it may be costly as compared to the normal bread-maker we could find here. I’m sure by the time it gets here to our country, there’d be lotsa recipes we could do with it. This would be something that I love to look forward to as I love baking wheat-free breads.
