Did you know that your pencil (regular or mechanical) actually uses graphite instead of lead? The term “lead” was actually adopted back in the 1500s when a large deposit of graphite was discovered in England. Unfortunately back then, they mistook the graphite as lead and was named as such ever since, so what you’ve been using to write since you could lift up a pencil is actually graphite. Lead, on the other hand, is more magical beyond being able to let you scribble things onto a paper which can be erased at a later stage – they can let you write forever…
Alright maybe “forever” is too ambitions, the “ink” will eventually run out somehow, but not your lifetime, maybe if you pass it on, your children or grandchildren could finish it up. When in use, the pen will deposit very, very tiny bits of metal onto the paper, so tiny that it can last at least a lifetime without running out. It also doesn’t require any sharpening however if you would like a finer tip, you can sharpen it with a sandpaper but why would you want to wear it out so quickly? Finally, yes, lead is dangerous for your health, but only if you eat a lot of it; the Inkless Metal Pen is not recommended for oral consumption however if you’re afraid that your kid might nibble or suck on it, don’t give it to them.
According to the product page:
Question: Isn’t lead dangerous?
Answer: Yes, lead is dangerous if you eat copious amounts of it. The same is true of hamburgers. However, because of this danger, we strongly warn against allowing children to use the Inkless Metal Pen (despite the fact that the amount of lead in the Inkless Metal Pen is miniscule). A child could put the tip in their mouths. They may also drive too fast after they get their driver’s license…but we don’t have much control over that.
