Jalapeño and cayenne peppers are known to increase the body’s release of adrenaline to stimulate the body’s metabolism and increase calorie burn. Chili peppers contain capsaicin which is known to increase uncoupling proteins found in the muscle, therefore increasing the metabolic rate.
