Sometimes people tend to forget real life differs to what we see in the movies. For example in a movie, the driver can take their eyes off of the road for a good 30 seconds and will not crash. That sh*t ain’t gonna fly well in real life, because you most likely will crash and really injure yourself, if not worse.
Being a person that drives to and from work, I have noticed some of the most ridiculous things that Malaysian drivers do. It’s often frustrating to witness such idiocy. Some things on this list has become somewhat a normal occurrence but some are mind-bogglingly stupid that you will want to pull your hair out. Here are a few of the idiotic things people do while driving heavy machinery:
Putting make-up on – Seriously, if you have to do this while stopping at the traffic light, you have got to reassess your time management skills. It’s distracting and equally annoying.
Changing in the car – This is not a made up thing, I have seen women (more than I should) do this. They stop at the side of the road or during slow speed and change outfits. Are you a homeless person with a fancy car? Change at home or in a bathroom!
Booboo duty – Again, not making this up. A baby on the passenger seat and she is changing the infant’s diaper. Seriously, how are you a mother?
Reading – Are you a child sitting in his/her car seat in the back? Are you being driven? If no, then put the damn book down. Mostly cab drivers do this but I have seen the average Joe pulling this stunt.
Taking a selfie – This may be okay when stopped at a red light, but try and refrain yourself anyway.
Dog fancying – I’ve seen this happen too many times. Ladies have passed me at 80-100km p/h and they’ve got their toy dogs resting their paws on the steering wheel while standing on its hind legs. What on Earth?!
Checking social network platforms – Seriously guys, this sh*t can wait. Feel the need to complain about traffic? Feel the need to post on Instagram just how bad traffic is? STOP! Take a quick photo and post all these things up later. Your life is more important than your tweet. Trust me, it can all wait.
