Look 1: Clothes/Shoes – Padini Concept Store

Name: Paige Shem

Age: 29

Occupation: Beauty Advocate

Look 2 : Top – Magstore , Pencil skirt – Padini Concept Store, Heels – Vincci, Clutch – Purchased from the US

Describe your personal style – Minimal, slightly androgynous, chic, I like to mix big pieces with small details like a jumpsuit with necklaces or shoes or earrings. I pay attention to the cuttings/ silhouette most of the time.

Look 3 : Dress – Gap, Sandals from US

What are your thoughts on the KL fashion scene? It has changed for the better. Most brands are trying new ways to approach fashion. It’s interesting to see very artistic designs are being displayed in hopes for the locals to purchase. Prices were higher and unaffordable. It makes me wonder if I can wear it and not look out of place or if I can afford it. They are taking baby steps, some took giant steps ahead to change the way KL sees fashion and style taking it up a notch each season (although we only have one season in Malaysia) but they adapt to the fashion  seasons to suit the local market which I think is very inspiring.

Look 4: Jumpsuit – Doublewoot , Snakeprint loafers – Vincci

Your favourite places to shop are? I love to shop online these days, does that count? Doublewoot- their cutting is almost always right. And I love that what you see online is what you get. Nastygal – They have very, very expensive but highly coveted pieces. Windsor – At the time I was looking for a tutu skirt, and I couldn’t find it in Malaysia, I found another site in the US that sells, I quickly bought it, I knew I would wear it one day. I like Padini, Uniqlo, H&M, Forever 21, Zara and Mango.

Look 5 : Top – Magstore, Tutu – Windsor, Loafers – Vincci

What is the one fashion item from your closet that you simply cannot live without? Jumpsuit. Haha! That is the most versatile piece. You can make it a casual wear when pairing it with a loafer or a gladiator and then transform it into an evening event-worthy outfit by changing with a pair of pumps or gladiators and necklace.
