Instagram is basically our go to for beauty inspiration. You can find unexpected (and totally doable) looks from winged eyeliner or yellow blushΒ and to the more advanced looks where you’d probably need to think twice before trying them out.

Speaking of beauty trends some of us would rethink, the latest one on the block is from makeup artist Jasmine (or @butterflyjasmine49 on Instagram), and she’s shown us a few looks that involve a lot of real props including live snails, grass, wasps and fake blood.

It’s no secret that Jasmine is crazy talented and the looks she pulls off look extremely professional, but she has received some comments in the past. Which is why she’s taken it upon herself to put disclaimers on her posts, like this one that included a live snail.

🚫Snail is Real🚫 Before you comment/ask PLEASE READ: Why do I have a live snail on my hand? I have it there cause I like snails. They're beautiful to me. This is a form of my artistic expression, i understand it's not everyone's cup of tea. I'm not asking you to get it or like it but if we can refrain from being mean about it, that'd be niceπŸ‘ I'm inspired by nature and here's a byproduct of that. (Snail was found in my yard and promptly put right back where I found him after our photo shoot🐌) 🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌 Anyone else really like snails? 🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌 Used @danessa_myricks metal pigment in Daydreaming 🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌 #amazingmakeupart #makeupartistsworldwide #universalhairandmakeup #dupemag #featuremedita #specialeffects #facepaint #faceart #tattooideas #bodyart #sfxmakeup #facepainting #bodypainting #creativemakeup #lipart #snail #lipstickjunkie #avantgarde #makeupart #makeupideas #darkart #triggerwarning #phobia #creepycrawly #insectart #snailmail #freaky #slimey

No matter how amazed or grossed out you maybe, you can’t deny that the girl clearly has talent. And, she got a wasp to sit on her lips quietly without getting stung. If that’s not talent, I don’t know what is.
