We can’t help but love when ridiculously good-looking famous people are BFFs with other ridiculously good-looking famous people. Case in point: Kendall Jenner, Bella and Gigi Hadid.

They are the new age of celebrity socialites who just can’t do wrong in the eyes of the media — well, except for that Pepsi stunt which nearly destroyed Kendall’s career — Or has it?

This week, two seemingly-disparate worlds collided in the editorial featured in Harper’s Bazaar‘s 150th anniversary collector’s edition, and reactions are mixed.

The magazine hired Lucasfilm illustrator Brian Rood to place models Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Taylor Hill, Bella Hadid and Kaia Gerber in classic Star Wars scenes wearing designer clothing from brands like Rag & Bone, Vera Wang and more.

Photos of Kendall and Taylor are inspired by A New Hope while the pics of the Hadids and Kaia are inspired by The Empire Strikes Back.

Brian Rood opened up about how these illustrations came about. “[The Harper’s editors] came through and they had a list of the models in those [Star Wars] scenes that they wanted with the outfits they wanted.”

He added, “You know, kind of replace Luke with Kendall Jenner. So that’s kind of how that evolved.”

Others felt like the spread was a bit underwhelming, even noting that the photos would be criticised if they were on reality show America’s Next Top Model. “These photos would get them sent home on ANY America’s next top model cycle,” one commenter remarked.

Another user also voiced out her concern, “Can u not involve the bloody Jenners/Kardashians in everything? Just ruined Star Wars for me.”

Is this a disgrace to the Star Wars franchise? Twitter users went ham on the models:

On top of that, people left their thoughts on the comment section too, with one user questioning why are these girls being picked to represent Star Wars when they’re the sort to insult it?
