Ahhhhhh!! We just cannot wait any longer!
A few weeks after the release of The Sims 4 Create-A-Sim Demo, EA has announced that the official The Sims 4 game would be available starting September 2nd 2014. That’s next week!
As much as we are looking forward to it, the game has already drawn flak from fans because some of the favourite features from the previous Sims instalments have been killed off. EA and a website dedicated to The Sims 4 have elaborated on what will be missing:
Family trees
Create a Style (CAST) (not possible in future expansions) (cannot change colour or pattern of wall, furniture, floors and other content)
Modifications to world or public spaces
Normal careers (law enforcement, medical, business were removed)
Open world (requires you to incur a loading screen between each active lot, each neighbourhood has 1-5 lots in total)
Pools
Terrain tools other than paint (everything is flat)
Story progression (Sims will age, but do not have children, get jobs, move, get married without player intervention)
Toddlers
No way to create or place new lots (you only have two empty ones at the start of the game)
No Mac version of the game at time of release
Acne
Babysitters
Favourites (no food, music, colour)
Garage doors
Cemeteries
Cars
Book stores
Burglars
Many others
However, EA and Maxis has promised that The Sims 4 will let you play like never before, with enhanced intelligence and emotions, making sure every action is informed and has a chain reaction.
Also, it is confirmed that they’ve added Wall Height Adjustment, Dynamic Foundation Sizing, Smart Windows and a Fountain Tool.
